Trauma Informed Counsellor

Hello, I'm Anita. Thank you for visiting my website. I'm an integrative counsellor based in Stevenage, offering both in-person and online sessions. My practice is rooted in the belief that 'the way out is in' – your journey to healing starts right where you are now.


I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely. As a registered member of the BACP and a trauma-informed therapist, I provide professional, confidential support that recognises how past experiences shape our present lives. I understand that reaching out for support is a brave step, and I'm here to meet you with empathy and understanding.

Whether you're looking for short-term support or longer-term therapy, I provide both online and in-person sessions, allowing you to choose what works best for you. Together, we can work through anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or feelings of being stuck, helping you find clarity, healing, and peace at a pace that feels right for you.


Individual Counselling for Adults

I work one-on-one with adults (18+) from all walks of life. Whether you're struggling with daily stresses or deeper-rooted issues, we'll work together to help you find clarity and peace.

Group Sessions

I run two types of transformative group work in Stevenage: a monthly women's support group where we explore healing from abuse, navigate immigration challenges, and build healthy relationships, and constellation groups that help reveal and heal family patterns. Both provide safe, nurturing environments where you can connect with others and grow together.

The Power of Counselling

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

One of the approaches I use is Internal Family Systems therapy. IFS views the mind as naturally multiple and our inner parts as having positive intentions for us, even if their actions are counterproductive. This powerful method can help you heal inner wounds and live with greater harmony and self-compassion.

My location

My practice is based in Stevenage - Pin Green (housing estate), which is easily accessible from Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Luton, Cambridge and the surrounding areas. The office is conveniently located 10 minutes by car from the town centre.
