"....in a world of algorithms, hashtags and followers, know the true importance of human connection..."
I have always been drawn to counselling because of how we connect with one another. Relationships shape who we are, and I love exploring how we make sense of it all. I am a mum and have my own family, but I am also deeply tied to my roots. Life never stops, and there is always something new happening, which makes this work feel even more meaningful to me.
When it comes to therapy, I take an integrative approach, mixing different methods to fit what works best for you. I draw from the Person-Centred Approach, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Family Constellation Method to explore deeper layers of human experience. I also bring in some insights from Polyvagal Theory to understand how our nerve system responds to life's ups and downs.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with people of all social and economic backgrounds, from those in management to ex-prisoners, and that experience combined with my own personal journey through therapy, has shown me just how powerful and transformative, compassionate counselling can be.
Being a native Polish speaker, I've got a special spot for people from ethnic minorities, especially those from EU countries who speak English or Polish. I get the unique challenges that come with moving to a new country, adjusting to new cultures, and feeling that sense of loss or displacement. As a woman in my profession, I have been deeply moved by the stories of women, but also men,- each one affirms the immense strength they possess and the innate drive for healing within the human psyche.
When I am not working, you'll probably find me walking my dog, hanging out in the forest, listening to folk and ethnic music (- such as the "Witcher 3 Soundtrack"), or indulging in some poetry with a cup of hot chocolate. And yes, yoga is also a part of the mix- it's my secret trick for staying grounded, while everything else might be upside down!
" Our own life has to be our message."
In our sessions, you'll find me heart-centred and grounded, with a blend of curiosity, compassion, and a good sense of humour. I believe we're all part of the "human family," a species that has experienced collective trauma. As someone with lived experience of trauma, I understand the challenges you might be facing and the courage it takes to seek support.
My goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, work through challenges, and unlock your potential for growth and healing. Whether you're dealing with relationship issues, trauma, cultural adjustment, or simply seeking personal development, I'm here to support you on your journey.
