IFS Therapy
I offer IFS therapy sessions (Internal Family Systems) for adults aged 18+, an approach that helps to better understand and heal inner experiences connected to trauma.
There is no need to prepare in any special way. We begin with whatever is present in the “here and now,” and allow the process to guide us forward.
Sessions typically last 60 minutes, and can be extended to 90 minutes.
You can begin with a full session or a free 20-minute consultation, online or in person.
Parts Work (IFS)
Are you experiencing inner conflict?
Sometimes, different parts of us want different things. By “parts”, I mean the different aspects of your inner world that influence how you think, feel and respond.
For example, one part may long for change, while another may be trying to protect you from it.
What if the parts of you that feel difficult are not your enemies? Perhaps getting to know them could help you understand yourself in a new way.
IFS offers a compassionate way to explore these parts and the stories behind them.

What is IFS Therapy?
IFS is a clinically respected, evidence-based approach that views the mind as made up of multiple subpersonalities, or “parts”. Each part has a unique role and function — even if its behaviour may seem problematic from the outside. There are three core types of parts in the IFS model:
Firefighters – Step in during emotional overwhelm, often through impulsive or avoidant behaviours.
Exiles – Carry unresolved emotional pain, often from early trauma.
Managers – Try to prevent further harm by controlling behaviour, emotions, or environments.
The goal of IFS is to develop a compassionate relationship with each part. As this happens, parts begin to trust the leadership of your Self – the calm, centred, compassionate core within you. With this Self-led presence, inner healing becomes possible.

What Happens in an IFS Session?
IFS sessions are collaborative and paced for safety. Together, we will:
- Identify and explore your inner parts
- Understand each part’s role and intention
- Facilitate healing for parts holding pain or trauma
- Help protective parts release extreme behaviour
- Strengthen your access to the Self-energy (clarity, calm, compassion…)
- Create harmony among your parts
Our work unfolds gently, at a pace that feels safe for you. Each part is approached with care and respect, allowing trust and healing to emerge naturally.
